We are looking for a passionate, customer-focused and organised Deli Specialist to join our new premium deli concept on Hong Kong Island.

As a key member of the team, you will take ownership of the daily operation of the deli counter, sharing your knowledge of premium cheeses and charcuterie with customers while ensuring the highest standards of product presentation, food safety and service. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing gourmet food business from the very beginning.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the daily operation and presentation of the deli counter.
• Serve customers professionally and create a warm, welcoming shopping experience.
• Introduce and explain our range of premium cheeses, charcuterie, cold cuts, foie gras and related gourmet products.
• Build customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent customer service.
• Prepare, slice, pack, and present deli products with care and consistency.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, food safety, and product quality.
• Manage stock rotation, inventory levels, and product displays.
• Assist in placing replenishment orders and maintaining stock availability.
• Support promotional activities and product tastings when required.
• Ensure the counter remains clean, well-organised, and attractive throughout the day.

• Applicants should be able to communicate confidently in:
  • English
  • Mandarin
  • Cantonese preferred
  • Additional languages such as French would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of cheese, charcuterie, cold cuts, or gourmet food products.
• Previous experience in a delicatessen, cheese shop, gourmet food retail, supermarket fresh food department, hospitality, or related field.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
• Honest, reliable, and well-organised.
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
• Passionate about food, ingredients, and quality products.
• Strong awareness of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to learn, improve, and develop expertise in gourmet food products.
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a customer-facing environment.
