'Toy Library' Volunteer Recruitment

As many underprivileged families and those living in subdivided flats face severe housing constraints and a lack of resources, many young children lack sufficient space to play and access to diverse educational toys, which limits their daily exploration and development. In view of this, the HKU SPACE Volunteer will partner with Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service Mongkok Integrated Family Service Centre on 3 Oct to support the center’s 'Toy Library' project. Volunteers will serve as 'Play Partners' and 'On-site Support,' playing alongside the children and helping underprivileged toddlers regularly access high-quality play experiences and development support.

This activity welcomes all members of HKU SPACE Volunteers (no age limit). Volunteers should be proactive in playing with children from subdivided flats and chatting with their parents. Please note that the activity requires sitting on play mats on the floor for a long period; volunteers should evaluate their own physical conditions.
