On behalf of the Alumni Council, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the momentous occasion of the 20th anniversary of the HKU SPACE ALUMNI Gala Dinner. I would also like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to our late founder, Dr Peter Lee and previous Presidents, whose visionary leadership has shaped the solid foundation of our alumni community and paved the way for what we have achieved today.

As an inaugural member and the 5th President of HKU SPACE ALUMNI, I have had the privilege of witnessing the remarkable growth of our community. From our humble beginnings, we have now reached an astounding milestone of 370,000 alumni. Our Subject Alumni Groups have also expanded to 19, providing invaluable connections and support to the HKU SPACE ALUMNI community. We are immensely grateful for their contributions.

Our alumni represent a wide range of professions across diverse fields. For many of them, their active participation in HKU SPACE have played a significant role in shaping both their professional journeys and personal development.

Over the past two decades, you have demonstrated excellence and a commitment to lifelong learning. The Gala Dinner stands as a testament to the community that you have built, fostering lasting connections and inspiring future generations. As we gather to celebrate this milestone, let us reflect on the achievements, memories, and friendships forged through HKU SPACE. May this Gala Dinner serve as a reminder of your collective strength and the potential that lies ahead.
