The global rise of social entrepreneurship in recent years has changed the way we think about business and social responsibility.  In order to raise the community's awareness on social entrepreneurship and help the talented social entrepreneurs to realize their business ideas into profitable social business, HKU SPACE ALUMNI launched the Social Enterprises e-Society (SEES) in November 2010 to provide a web-based platform for HKU SPACE students, alumni, staff and the general public to share information and exchange ideas on social enterprises.

Through the web-based platform of SEES and a variety of talks and sharing given by social enterprise experts, participants can learn about corporate social responsibility and social entrepreneurship, which in turn help the community and the disadvantaged through business operation and reinvesting profit into improving the livelihood of the less privileged.
